Memory foam may have a slight odor that remains from the manufacturing process. Both memory foam and conventional foam are used in products you come in contact with every day in upholstered furniture,vehicles,office, furniture etc. upon opening, there may still be a "brand new memory foam" odor, but it dissipate quickly and completely.
